Thoughtful Thursday
Our Thoughtful Thursday sessions in the last two weeks have taken on a different dimension. They have helped us explore the deep-rooted connection between poetry, music, and all art forms. We coined MAP as an acronym for our sessions, focusing on Music, Art, and Poetry. The integration of these art forms has brought depth and meaning to the interpretation of the different genres and styles of art. Brinda, the Thoughtful Thursday Webinar Host at The Teacher's Academy, has extensive experience in educational leadership and now serves as the Director of Training at Gyanshree School (formerly the Principal) in Noida.
Brewing Knowledge Friday
Sandeep Dutt led a discussion on "How Your Child Learns Best" from the book "My Good School." The session emphasized the importance of understanding children's learning needs through a needs analysis, including identifying existing skills, setting goals, and determining the most appropriate delivery format. Manisha Khanna and Minakshi Prasad shared their experiences implementing these strategies in a school they are building from scratch. The conversation also touched on the evolution of media, drawing parallels to educational systems and the need for a student-centered approach. The session concluded with a call for continuous reflection and adaptation in teaching methods.
