Teenage Relationships and Behaviour Guidance
The meeting focused on discussing teenage relationships and behaviour, with Roma providing insights on how to handle situations involving young students like Arjun and Rakhi. Roma explained that teenagers often seek emotional support through relationships and suggested that parents should communicate openly with their children rather than prohibit relationships. The discussion also covered how teenage brains are still developing, particularly in areas related to emotions and decision-making.
BOOKS OF THE WEEK
Masterclass session on Emerging Literacies, hosted by Sandeep Dutt on July 11, focusing on financial, food, and digital literacy for teachers. The session began with Kunal providing updates from their recent workshop in Jammu, where they had successfully conducted financial and food literacy programs at Jodhamal Public School. Sandeep then shared the background story of how the Learning Forward India Foundation began in 2020, starting with a single school in Baliya and expanding to reach nearly 100 schools across India. The main portion involved reading from Yuval Noah Harari’s book “21 Lessons for the 21st Century” and discussing how humanity is losing faith in the liberal story that has dominated global politics in recent decades, as biotechnology and information technology converge to create unprecedented challenges. The session concluded with panellists Dr Deep Khare and Ms Amita Arora sharing their reflections on the importance of expanding education beyond academic learning to include critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills that will prepare teachers for the future.
