The Award is announced on July 24th every year, which marks Snehlata's birthday. The Award Ceremony is scheduled at ScooNews Global Ed-Fest in Jaipur on August 1st 2025, and the Awardee is invited to Dehradun to savour the legacy and work of the great lady, perhaps the longest-serving woman in book retailing in India's history.

My Good School
Shikha Agnihotri of Right Side Story began the meeting with a detailed discussion on puberty, including both physical and emotional changes, as well as strategies for managing emotions and body image. The group discussed friendship, peer pressure, digital safety, and the need for adult guidance. The session concluded with talks on career goals, the impact of AI tools on cognition, and a reading on faith, deeds, and growth.
Curiosity And Goal Orientation In Education
The Masterclass focused on exploring the role of curiosity and goal orientation in education, with Sandeep leading on how curiosity impacts brain activity and learning effectiveness. The discussion covered research findings on brain responses to curiosity, the benefits of mastery versus performance goals in learning, and strategies for designing productive experiences that foster failure. The session concluded with planning for upcoming events, including workshops and retreats, while emphasising the importance of balancing different types of achievement goals in educational settings.
Constructivist Learning and Procedural Mastery
We host Brewing Knowledge Friday to discuss various educational topics, including teaching methods, thinking skills, and the importance of informal reasoning. Sandeep shared insights on constructivist learning principles, procedural learning, and the reciprocal teaching method developed by Ann Brown, while emphasising the role of metacognition in improving students' reasoning abilities. The conversation ended with discussions about an upcoming award ceremony for Swati Roy and the importance of gratitude, empathy, and procedural knowledge in teaching and learning.
